On this page you can find general information about our hotel and services that The Hendrick’s Hotel provides. We will do our best to make your stay as pleasant as possible and to meet or even exceed your expectations.

Main information

Main information for your stay at The Hendrick's Hotel.

  • The password for the free wifi TheHendricksHotel: amsterdam
  • Check-out time is at 12:00 PM (noon). Free luggage storage is available at the reception.
  • Minibar is located in the wardrobe or in the cabinet under the TV. You can find the pricelist on the door of the minibar
  • The safe is located in the wardrobe or in the cabinet under the TV. The safe is free to use and requires a 4-digit pin

 

 

Breakfast

The Hendrick’s Hotel offers a delicious and healthy breakfast buffet and à la carte menu. These are all included in the breakfast, and it is served in the lobby.

We work with reservations of time slots, to avoid too many people at the same time during breakfast. Please inform the reception, preferably a day in advance, when you would like reserve your preferred time slot. It is of course possible to choose different time slots for different days.

The breakfast is served from 7 AM until 11 AM, and every hour there is a new time slot.

It is not required to reserve a time slot to have breakfast, but please note that it depends if there are available tables.

Restaurants

Restaurants can be quite busy in Amsterdam, so we strongly recommend you to make your dinner-reservations well in advance.

Tours & tickets

For most of the museums and touristic attractions you need to book tickets (with timeslots) in advance.

Tickets are also sold at the reception. Our staff at the reception is more than happy to assist you booking tickets.

Bike rental

Enjoy your own cycling experience in Amsterdam and blend in with the locals. The Hendrick’s Hotel offers bike rental, for the price of €18,50 per day you can experience Amsterdam by bike. Cycling is a great way to discover the city and it can be quite an adventure!

 

Please ask at the reception for more information and to rent a bike.

Adaptor: Adaptors are available at the reception.


Air conditioning: All of our rooms have air conditioning. The control panel is the white box next to the room door.


Airport transfer: We can arrange an airport transfer (taxi) for you. Please contact the reception for this.

Bar: The bar is in the lobby next to the reception. The bar opening times are from 11:00 (11 AM) until 23:00 (11 PM).


Breakfast: Our breakfast is served daily from 07:00 till 11:00 AM, in the lobby next to the reception. We serve a breakfast buffet with a menu as well. The price is €19,50 per person per day.

Car parking: The Hendrick's Hotel does not have its own parking spaces, but there are several options for parking:

  • Parking in the streets
  • Parking in the parking garage Oosterdok
  • Valet parking with Hotelparking (external company)

Check-in/Check-out: Check-in times are from 15:00. You can check-out till 12:00 (noon). We have a luggage room to store your luggage after check-out.


Coffee and tea: You can use the Nespresso machine in the room free of charge. We also offer free coffee and tea in the lobby.


Cribs/cots: There are baby cots available free of charge for children till 3 years old. Please contact our reception if you need a baby cot in your room. Please note that not every room is suitable for a baby cot.


Currency exchange: Currency exchange is possible at the GWK Travelex office. The office closest to the hotel are at the Amsterdam Central Station and at the Dam Square.

Emergency: In case of emergency, please contact our staff as soon as possible. We can contact the necessary emergency services.


Extra pillows/blankets: If you need extra pillows or blankets, please contact our reception.


Electric heater: There are electric heaters available on request. Please contact the reception if you need one.

Fire safety: The fire safety floor plans are on the door of your room and also on the fire hose cabinet in the hallways. In case of fire, listen to our staff and exit the building according the floor plan.


Flight information: Please contact our reception for flight- or ticket information.

Heating: The air conditioning in the room also has a heating function. You can find more information in the manual or you can contact our reception.


Housekeeping: Our housekeeping will clean your room everyday between 9:30 and 16:30. You can also put the sign on the door if you want extra cleaning or if you don’t want to be disturbed.

Internet: Our wireless internet is free of charge. The network name is The Hendricks Hotel and the password is amsterdam.


Iron & iron board: Steam irons and iron boards are available. Please contact our reception and we will bring it up to your room.

Key cards: The key that you receive at check-in opens the door of your room and also the front door during the evening and night. The front door closes at 7 PM and opens at 6:30 AM.

Laundry services: The laundry bag & form can be found in the wardrobe. Instructions and prices are on the form. Please drop the laundry bag off at the reception with the signed form before 08.45 AM.


Luggage: We can store luggage for you in our luggage room. This is free of charge.

Maps (city): City maps are available at the reception.


Messages: If you wish to leave a message, please contact the reception.


Minibar: The minibar will be restocked every day, except if you have put a Do Not Disturb sign at the door. The price list is on the door of the minibar. The minibar itself you can find in or near the wardrobe.

Night lamp: If you need an extra lamp for reading in bed, we have extra night lamps available at the reception.

Printer service: We offer a free printing service. Please send the document(s) to our email address info@thehendrickshotel.com. You may pick them up at the reception.


Public transport: Amsterdam has trams,buses and metros available. To use the public transport in Amsterdam, you will need to have a GVB-public transport card. The tickets are available at the reception and at many places around the city.

Reception: You can reach the reception by phone by dialing ‘Front Desk’. We are available 24 hours per day.


Restaurants: We will gladly help you with restaurant recommendations at the reception and of course making reservations.

Safety deposit box (Safe): The safety deposit box can be operated with your own personal 4-digit code. The safety deposit box is in the wardrobe and the instructions are on the door of the deposit box.


Smoking policy: It is not allowed to smoke in our hotel. We ask not to smoke in front of our hotel for our neighbors. Please use the street next to the hotel, to the left.


Streaming to TV: Our TV’s support streaming from your mobile device or laptop using Chromecast. Please follow the steps for streaming on the TV.

Taxi: We can reserve taxis for you, or call for you immediately. It takes around 10 minutes for a taxi to arrive. You can pay with creditcard, debitcard or cash with the taxi driver. 


Toiletries and shaving tools: Please contact the reception if you need more toiletries and/or shaving tools. We have them available at the reception.


Telephone: The phone in the room is only for house use. To make an external/international phone call, please contact the reception. We can connect you through.


Ticket service: Tickets for museums, canal cruises, etc. are available at the reception. We can help you with information, directions and of course booking the tickets.


Towels: To be more environment-friendly, please leave the towels on the floor if you want new towels. If you don’t want new towels, please hang them up.

Wake-up call: Please contact our reception if you need a wake-up call.
